Dignity Speech Services will provide high-quality person-centered therapy in the comfort of your own home. The continuation of skilled therapy at home is critical in maximizing outcomes, reducing hospitalizations, and improving quality of life.
Our mission is to support clients and their families in their own environment by rehabilitating or enhancing their communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities through a highly customized outpatient therapy program.

Meet Our Team

Janice T. Buziak-Smith, MS CCC-SLP

OWNER/SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Janice has worked clinically across the continuum of care for nearly 18 years and brings a unique perspective and approach to outpatient speech therapy services.

She holds licenses for Speech-Language Pathology in Massachusetts and with the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Janice is a Certified Dementia Care Specialist (CDCS), holds certifications in the dysphagia treatments of VitalStim (NMES) and the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP), and is a Certified Lingraphica Technology Specialist.

Melissa Day, M.S. SLP

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Melissa is a Massachusetts-licensed SLP who joined the team in 2023, bringing 30 years of experience.

Most of her experience is in the home health setting, advocating for clients' needs as they transition home from an inpatient or hospital setting, and working with individuals with ALS. She has extensive experience collaborating with clients, their families and care partners, and the involved medical team, bringing a truly interdisciplinary approach to her therapy.

Melissa's passion for promoting client happiness and quality of life is evident. She takes the time to listen to her client’s concerns, building treatment plans that are highly personalized and meaningful to everyday function.
