Meet Your Therapist

Originally from the Buffalo, NY area, Janice received both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the State University of New York College at Fredonia before settling in Boston, MA in 2006.  She has 15+ years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a variety of adult settings, including skilled nursing, acute and long-term acute care hospitals, outpatient rehabs, and home health.

Her passion for promoting client happiness and quality of life even in the face of progressive neurologic illness or acute medical change provides the base of her service model. She prides herself on taking time to hear her client’s goals and concerns, then pairs her client’s goals with standardized tests and current evidence-based practice techniques to establish treatment plans and recommendations that are highly personalized and meaningful.

Janice is licensed in the State of Massachusetts and holds certification from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is also certified in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association and is a recipient of an ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) for over-achievement in clinical learning.

She is a certified dysphagia therapy provider of VitalStim (NMES) and the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP) and a Certified Dementia Care Specialist (CDCS).
